Delays of up to two hours can be expected on Highway 19 at Kaawalii Gulch as state highway workers clear a landslide blocking the Hilo-bound lane.

Sal Panem, state Department of Transportation district engineer, said clearing the debris will likely take the rest of the day. The gulch is located between Laupahoehoe and Ookala.

Also, Kahana Drive is closed approximately 3 to 4 miles above Ahualoa Road due to a landslide, according to Hawaii County police. Maintenance crews have been dispatched to the area, police said.
